Our law firm client is looking for an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join their team and support attorneys handling family law cases, including divorce, child custody, and spousal support. This role involves case management, document preparation, client communication, and trial preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle case files from initiation to closure, including maintaining accurate records, deadlines, and ensuring timely completion of all necessary steps.
- Draft and prepare legal documents such as petitions, motions, discovery requests, financial disclosures, and trial preparation documents.
- Conduct legal research, organize discovery documents, and assist with deposition preparation as required.
- Support attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness preparation, and assembling trial binders.
Qualifications:
- A paralegal certificate or associate’s degree is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in family law or related legal field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficient in legal research and legal software, and excellent organizational abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion, strong attention to detail, and a client-focused approach.
